When David first contacted me about his engagement session I was under the impression that it would be like many of my other clients and their engagement sessions. Most couples had already proposed and have set a date for their wedding day when I hear from them. BUT David wanted to make this session special. He wanted to surprise his partner AJ and propose to him on his birthday in Boston. This was going to be amazing!
We arranged for me to take candids of them as they walked through Boston Commons and then eventually we would meet up so I could introduce myself. David told AJ that he had gotten a photography session for them since they do not have many photos together and it was a gift for AJ's birthday. I am pretty sure AJ soaked it all in and never led onto the fact that there was something else behind David's plans.
It started to sprinkle and dark skies were overhead but that did not falter the sweet love they had for each other. We made our way eventually over to the Boston Gardens and found cover under one of the beautiful weeping willow trees that line the lagoon at Boston Garden. This is where David gracefully pulled out the ring and got down on one knee and proposed to AJ. The expression on AJ's face of shock and surprise and the tenderness of David's love while he asked AJ to marry him give me goosebumps. It was by far the most sweetest moment I have ever witnessed.
David and AJ I am so honored to have been a part of this special event in your lives and I wish you lots of love and happiness! You both have such tender hearts and I loved getting to know both of you during our session. Thank you again for being so much fun to work with!
Lots of love,
